On the first week of July, RENAC and GIZ organized a 5-day study tour in sustainable energy practices for Mongolia’s policymakers and technical experts from Ministry of Energy, Energy Regulation Commission and National Dispatching Centre. The program was focused on best German practices in grid management and decarbonisation in energy sector and industry.
The highlights of the week were visits to Markersbach Pumped Storage Plant, 100% self-sufficient village Feldheim and exploring Power-to-Heat Power-to-Cold plant at EUREF Campus. Innovators like Octopus, GASAG and inno2grid presented their innovative and digital solutions in decarbonising electrical grid and district heating network. Participants enhanced their competencies in the field of enegry policies, carbon market, climate incentives renewable grid integration during the expert session with adelphi, Forum Ökologisch-Soziale Marktwirtschaft e.V.,Stiftung Allianz für Entwicklung und Klima, Renewables Grid Initiative.
Study tours like this not only deepen delegates' understanding of sustainable energy solutions but also inspire for practical actions that drive meaningful change back home. |
